Mini Pizza Boats

I don't think i'll ever stop making this mini pizza for dinner, especially after a very long exhausting day. Two things, I like most about this meal, first is throwing all the ingredients, togtheron one side of a bun, second, its amazing and deliciuos taste. This mini pizza has always been a hit for us. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

Ingredients:

For the sauce:
4 tbsp ketchup
2 tbsp BBQ sauce
1 tbsp mayonnaise
1 tbsp mustard
1 tsp hot sauce (optional)

5 hot dog buns, cut in half
1/2 cup shredded mozzarela
1 medium red onion, chopped
2 fresh tomatoes, chopped
1/2 cup green or black olives, i used both
3/4 cup pepperoni, chopped

Directions:

Preheat the oven at 200 C for at least 20 minutes. Cut the hot dog buns in halves and put them on a baking sheet. Top with a thin layer of pizza sauce. Evenly distrubute all the ingredients except the mozzarella. transfer the baking sheet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-30 minutes or until the crut is lightly browned. Finally, place the cheese on top of each mini boat and Enjoy!

  1. I love pizza of any form. This looks so good and easy to make. I have tried homemade dough several time and it is always a failure! Do you have a good dough recipe by hand (I dont have a food processor or kitchen aid) that you can share?

  2. hey dalia, this pizza tastes so good, trust me. i have this recipe, mama used to make at all the time by hand:
    2 cups flour
    3 tbsp oil
    1/4 warm water
    2 tbsp yeast
    pich of salt

measure the warm water into a 2 cup liquid measuring cup. Sprinkle the yeast over the top. Leave it for 10 min unitl it is foamy. Make a mound of flour, add the oil, water-yeast mixture and salt. Startmaking circular motion by hand to slowly pull in the flour from the edges into the wet ingredients. Add water if you feel the dough is dry, 1 tbsp at a time.

try it and let me know how it was. :)
