Grilled Liver

It’s Feast…Yaay! Eid al-Adha is NO Eid without grilled liver in breakfast! It’s a custom in Egypt that people eats meat in breakfast. The kind of meat varies from house to house, but my family usually grills liver! It is so yummy and delicious.  The dressing is so simple and zesty, and the best part of it, is that it is being grilled.

Grilled Liver

Yield: 6 servings

1 lb/500 kgs raw liver
Juice of 1 big lemon
5 tablespoon fresh ginger
salt and pepper

slice the liver evenly, about 1 cm in thickness. season  with  salt, pepper, ginger and lemon. Keep it overnight in the fridge. When you are ready to cook, prepare the griller, and arrange the liver pieces evenly. Do not overlap. repeat the same until you finish.
